Beach Getaway 2010

For the third year, we headed to the beach with friends. While the tradition calls for July 4th weekend, we had to adjust this year and celebrate One Nation Under God, a week early.  It was wonderful! We cannot wait to do it again next year!

Our Cookout & Cornhole

It was an awesome evening in Hanes Park with great friends!  The cornhole competition was fierce, the food was delicious and the friendship was a blessing! We ended up with almost fifty people there, and we were missing a lot of close friends who had Father's Day plans.  We'll do it again in August! Can't wait!

Sarah's in Haiti

Chris' sister just arrived in Haiti and will spend the next month doing a myriad of things involving clean up, orphanages, ministry and health services. She is there with an organization called The World Race. Her team consists of 55 people from all over. I just added the link to their team blog (See Sarah in Haiti). Hope you will pray along with us while she is gone. We expect incredible things from the Lord and Sarah while she is there!

Yay, for Memorial Day!

This weekend has been great! The forecasted rain held off and we took advantage of it! Saturday, I headed to the NC Wine Festival with Jessica and Charlotte. We packed a huge picnic and had a blast! From there Chris and I went to Jake's graduation party. Lots of friendly faces there. We are so excited for Mr. France! Then, in the late evening, Chris and the band played an outdoor set on Finnagan's back porch!

Sunday continued the fun. A fabulous Salem Chapel morning, followed by lunch with Kyle and Lorin from Wilmington (picture soon). We love these guys! A nap, and then family dinner one last time before Sarah heads to Haiti for a month. We watched Up!, grilled out and relaxed.

Happy Memorial Day. Thank you Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Michael, Mark, Tyler, Jane, Dave, Mandy and Steve for serving our country.

Christy is a Master too!

Tis the season for graduating and my sister did just that. She earned her Master's in Teaching (Spanish) from Ithaca College.
