We're Moving!

Locally, yes locally. God has surprised us once again with His fast answer to prayer. Last week at this time, we had no idea that moving was in the near future. A listing came up that we liked, we looked at it, applied for it, and got it within a 72 hour window. The lease is signed and we are at a new address starting August first.

The new house has a few upgrades for us: a dishwasher, garage, 1.5 baths, and grass in the backyard! What a simple blessing! Our landlord has agreed to let us into the house to paint a week before we actually move into the space. I have had a blast picking out a few colors to make the place feel like home! I'll take pictures once we're done. Regardless, the Lord has completely exceeded our hearts and we are very grateful!

Yay for packing, and yay for moving!

4 Years

Yesterday was our 4 year anniversary! Where has the time gone? No one would call us newlyweds now, but we laughed yesterday realizing that we still feel like kids playing house. In four years we've grown so much and God has already taken us on wild adventures. To highlight a few: Chris going back to school, the search for a church, rescuing two dogs, missions to Russia, losing a dog, living in a 500 sq foot house, and now Kate going back to school --- and there is so much more. On to year number five....can't wait! Happy Anniversary!

Now let's do a few flashbacks....

This was 2 weeks before our wedding. Already parents to two little puppies - Tex and Jackson.

Me and the lovely ladies... The best bridal party ever!

Happy Birthday America!

We (the Henson Five) spent 4th of July with dear family friends --- the Rectors.  Allatoona Lake, near Atlanta had never seen the likes of the Henson/ Rector party.  It was a blessed time of relaxation, wild tubing and encouraging words. Thanks Barb and Richard!

Here is a small taste of the action. Unfortunately, we didn't get the best rides (or wipeouts) on camera! But, Joyce's laughter throughout the video is worth it. At 1:07 in the video, the screaming begins!

The infamous Richard Rector rides the dangerous waves!

Yes, that is Richard's arm flying into Lake Allatoona!

Sarah returned home from a month in Haiti on Wednesday and we had her on the lake by Saturday!

Dinner at Pappasitos with the Rectors, Hueys and Hensons.
Party of 10 = trouble! The Tex-Mex was amazing!!!!

Happy Birthday America! We celebrated fully!

*Note: We watched the fireworks from the boat; not a cloud in the sky. 45 minutes of "ooo's and ahhh's." A comment to all of the Georgia boaters out there: Y'all are nuts to try and park your boats so close together on a lake, and you're even more nuts to try and leave the fireworks like a large southern armada! We could have died!

Winston-Salem DASH

Last night we got to go see the DASH game at Winston-Salem's new baseball stadium with Mom and Dad.  Friends had given us amazing tickets and it was a blast!

Mascot Bolt was dancing!

(Sorry the lighting is so horrible.)
